About the material
Polyurethane is a polymer composed of organic units joined by urethane links.
Among the different varieties of polyurethanes, we find Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), which has a structure that provides properties that other types of polymers do not possess, making them very useful for high-performance applications. The main characteristics include:
TPUs can be classified into different groups depending on their nature. The two main groups are characterized by:
- Premium TPU with resistance to hydrolysis and microorganisms, and greater flexibility at low temperatures.
- Standard TPU with resistance to thermo-oxidation and greater resistance to oils and greases.
Benefits

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) belts
esbelt® offers TPU belts in the Breda and Keram series for the industrial sector. For the food sector, TPU belts are found in the Clina, Novak series.
Smart Drive positive drive belts, Washflow mesh belts, elastic belts, and heat-welded belts are also made of TPU.
