Antimicrobial belts

Maximum food safety and hygiene

esbelt® AM belts incorporate an antimicrobial component integrated into the formula itself, designed to inhibit biofilm formation and slow microbial growth on the belt surface. Thanks to their innovative formulation, they reduce microbial growth by more than 99% and are effective against bacteria such as Listeria, Salmonella, E. Coli, and Staphylococcus aureus. In addition, they reinforce the preventive measures of the HACCP system and help guarantee food safety.

Total protection against biofilms and bacteria

Its technology inhibits the formation of biofilms and prevents the belt from contributing microbial load to the product. The active ingredient is bacteriostatic, not bactericidal, so it slows the proliferation of microorganisms without altering the organoleptic characteristics or composition of the food.

Permanent effectiveness

Unlike other surface treatments, the antimicrobial component is integrated into the belt’s formula, guaranteeing effective protection throughout its lifespan, even against wear, cuts, and demanding cleaning.

The antimicrobial component of esbelt®: a superior option to silver ions

Esbelt AM belts incorporate an antimicrobial component integrated into the formula itself, which is not based on silver ions. Antimicrobials based on silver ions have two main disadvantages:

  • To comply with food regulations, the concentration of silver ions in products in contact with food must be very low, which considerably reduces the effectiveness and durability of the antimicrobial protection.
  • Silver ions are highly soluble in water, which makes it difficult for them to withstand the demanding cleaning protocols of the food industry, losing effectiveness over time.

In addition, conventional sampling methods often underestimate the presence of microorganisms, especially when they form biofilms that are difficult to detect and eliminate.

The antimicrobial component used by Esbelt offers more effective, durable, and resistant protection against industrial cleaning processes, ensuring compliance with the highest food safety standards.
