About this property
Combustible particles suspended and dispersed in the air at a certain concentration can cause an explosion if the three main factors are present:
- Dust of a certain size and concentration.
- The oxidizer (oxygen) that produces the combustion process.
- An ignition point or heat source (sparks produced by static electricity).
Processes in which dust and particles are present are more susceptible to the risk of explosions.

They are antistatic belts according to ISO284, meaning they do not accumulate static electricity, thus preventing sparks that could act as an ignition source for an explosion.
Our belts are certified according to Directive 2014/3/EU as non-electrical components used in equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and ATEX-Category 2 according to EN13463-5:2011.
Suitable for working in potentially explosive environments, with the presence of flammable substances in the form of gases and/or dust, for example in applications such as bucket elevators, loading and unloading of silos, and bulk transport of refined sugar.
