The esbelt® AM range of antimicrobial belts is a very important aid in ensuring the safety of processed foods if the shelf life of the food is a strategic objective. Its active antimicrobial principle is not bactericidal, but bacteriostatic. Its function is to prevent the belt from adding microbial load to the transported product.
Unlike alternatives based on metal ions, our innovative formulation is not water-soluble: it is durable because it resists the strictest belt cleaning protocols. In addition, the AM component is incorporated into the belt’s own formula, so it continues to work if the coating degrades or suffers cracks or cuts.
