About the material
The TPE, or Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer, used by esbelt® to manufacture its belts is based on a ester-ether copolymer that combines many of the characteristics of elastomers (synthetic rubber) and flexible plastics (PVC, Polyurethane, Polyolefin). This material is made exclusively of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, complying with the regulations of the Tobacco Industry. It contains neither nitrogen nor chlorine.
Our TPE complies with FDA food quality regulations and EU Regulation 10/2011. Its combustion forms almost exclusively carbon dioxide and water vapor, with no possibility of releasing nitrogenous or halogenated compounds. This result adapts to the Pyrolysis test required by the Tobacco Industry.
